NCE Graduate Awards 2000

Six finalists have been shortlisted and interviewed for NCE's Graduate Awards 2000 scheme from a record entry of more than 60. The winner will be revealed and presented with £1,000 at the Civils 2000 exhibition next week.

Construction of a £400,000 wind farm has started in Cumbria for National Wind Turbines. David McLean Contractors is building five turbines, access roads and a substation which should be completed in early autumn. The firm has already completed around 150 turbines in the UK.
