Civil engineering golfers enjoyed splendid late summer sunshine and a delightful Surrey golf course at the 2009 NCE Charity Golf Masters last week.
Teams from across construction took on a challenging course at Cuddington Golf Club near Banstead and raised £4,600 for engineering disaster relief charity RedR along the way.
Overall winners on the day were the Matchtech team of Simon Wilson, Ben Hurst, Darius Sarosh, Roger Bannard, closely followed by teams from SKM and Parsons Brinckerhoff .
Other individual winners on the day were:
- Longest drive, men Alan Bacon of SKM
- Longest drive, women Amanda Henton of Trett
- Nearest the pin on the 8th Peter Crabtree of Costain
- Nearest the pin 2nd shot on 5th Shon Williams of RSK STATS
