National Grid partners with sustainability school

National Grid has become the first infrastructure client to share its sustainability knowledge and requirements through the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

As a partner, the power client will help thousands of the school’s members – including several major contractors – to develop their green skills.

The school helps primary and specialist contractors to develop their sustainability offerings in line with industry expectations.

Naitonal Grid global procurement sustainability manager Colin Braidwood said: “Partnering with the school isn’t just about demonstrating our commitment to sustainability within the supply chain, we also benefit as an organisation.

“Whether you come at sustainability from a risk or opportunity mindset, only by working collaboratively can we leverage the expertise within the supply chain and with peers to address the social and environmental challenges in front of us.

“The school helps drive forward momentum and National Grid is delighted to join at such an exciting time for infrastructure sustainability.”
