Anthony Canham (F) of Norwich-based Canham Thomas Partnership is vice president of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Dr Terry Roberts, a reader at the Cardiff School of Engineering and former postgraduate student Dr Andrew Newark have been awarded the 1998 Moisseiff Award by the Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers for their paper 'Strength of webs subjected to compressive edge loading'.

Dr Martin Barnes (F) is a visiting professor at the University of Birmingham's school of civil engineering.
