John Waterfall (F) has left consultant Crouch Waterfall & Partners to concentrate on his engineering software interest with Cascade Software. He will continue to be a consultant to CWP, the firm he founded with Graham Crouch in 1982.

Professor Paul Jowitt (F), formerly head of civil and offshore engineering at Edinburgh's Heriot Watt University, has joined the board of East of Scotland Water.

Jim Kirkwood takes over as managing director of Kvaerner Technology and Henry Carruthers joins the board as director for business systems and development. Jon Dale is managing director of Kvaerner Construction International.

Michael Kershaw (M) becomes an associate director at Leeds based consultant BSCP in charge of civil engineering activities.

Anan Allos is promoted to become technical director at Scott Wilson.

Chris Wynne leaves PB Kennedy & Donkin to become managing director of infrastructure and environmental division of the IT Group.

Keith Airey is head of procurement at Laing. He joins from SmithKline Beecham before which he worked for power tool manufacturer Black & Decker.
