David Gibby (M) has joined Ringway Group as network management director based in Trowbridge.

RMC Group has appointed Sir John Parker as non-executive deputy chairman. The intention is that he will succeed Christopher Hampson as chairman of the company before the 2002 annual general meeting.

Professor MGH Bell, professor of transport operations and director of the transport operations research group at Newcastle University's civil engineering department, is to chair transport operations at the department of civil and environmental engineering at Imperial College London from January 2002.

The Design Build Foundation has appointed Don Ward as its new chief executive, five months after he stepped down as head of the Construction Industry Board. He takes over from Barry Holmes who retires in December, after almost four years at the DBF.

Lee Newsham has been appointed financial director at Yorkshire construction company PDR Construction.

Andrew Dellow has been appointed as director at Hurley Palmer Flatt's London office. He will support the company's continued expansion in the UK and Europe.

Nottingham consultancy Carter Walker has merged with David Langdon & Everest.

Specialist construction lawyer Neil F Jones has joined law firm Pinsent Curtis Biddle as consultant at the Birmingham office. Jones is a member of the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) and chairman of the drafting committee, which produces the main standard forms of contract used throughout the UK.
