Mike Knowles has been promoted to the divisional board of RPS Planning, Transport & Environment. Colin McKay replaces Knowles as operation director of the RPS Transport Newbury offi ce while Philip Parry has been promoted to senior director. Richard Stacey has been promoted to director at RPS Transport's Southbank office in London and Graeme Roberts is associate in RPS Transport's new Birmingham office.

Steer Davies Gleave has appointed Colin Rowland as chairman. Philip Bates becomes executive director and Stephen Crouch financial director.

Ian Gilliver becomes director of Mott MacDonald's integrated transport team in Liverpool and its transport planners in Manchester.

Stephen Lindsay has been appointed senior technician by TA Millard Scotland. Åsa Söderberg joins as senior infrastructure engineer at TA Millard East Anglia.

Robert West Consulting has promoted Oliver Engleback and Jonathan Howard to associate directors.

Cassiem Jeppe has joined FaberMaunsell's St Albans office as senior consultant. Stuart Dalgleish has joined the Leeds office as principal consultant.

Meanwhile Jonathan James, Steve Tarry, Stuart Wilkins and Paul Cornfoot become regional directors.

Andrew Mayes has joined Scott Wilson's Heritage Team as archaeological consultant based with the Leeds team. Geraint Franklin joins the Peterborough office as assistant, built heritage consultant. Archaeological expert Jay Carver joins the archaeological and built heritage team.

Joynes Pike & Associates has appointed Nigel Wilson as divisional director of traffic and transportation and Keith Wilcock as divisional director of civil and structural engineering.
