Murphy bags Metronet contract

Murphy has won a two year £5M earthworks and structures contract with London Underground contractor Metronet
Murphy has won a two year £5M earthworks and structures contract to stabilise and reinforce embankments on the Central and Metropolitan Lines.Work will be carried out between Epping and Theydon Bois, Woodford and Buckhurst Hill, Hainault and Fairlop, Pinner and Harrow and between Chorleywood and Rickmanswoth. The contractor will use anchored bored piled wall with capping beams and the Ruglei verge stabilisation system.'We bring our experience working on similar complex rail projects for Network Rail to the relationship,' said Murphy divisional director for civil engineering John Kissane.
