Moyles ahead

Imagine my surprise when on my way to a survey at 6:30am last Thursday the ICE was mentioned on the Radio One news in an article about burning rubbish to produce up to 20% of our electricity.

The item was included in the news bulletins throughout the Chris Moyles show which I believe has about 7M listeners and is biased towards the younger audience. In addition, the article would have been heard by the worldwide audience listening via satellite.

For once, the ICE was mentioned in a positive sense rather than the usual scenario where they are asked to comment after a disaster such as 9-11 or the tsunami. Let's have more of this positive promotion for civil engineering to raise the profile and status of our profession.
