Mowlem and London Underground

Mowlem and London Underground have congratulated each other after tunnel strengthening works on the District Line between High Street Kensington and Earl's Court were finished on time in 99 days. The work involved underpinning brick jack arches and installing 44 new 6t beams to replace cast iron girders supporting the covered way carrying buildings and roads over the railway. Over 450m of new rail was also installed.
