Mouchel appoints new environment director

Mouchel has appointed a new operating group director for its environment and maritime business.

Dr Janice McKenna joins from HR Wallingford and Jacobs, where she held a range of operational and sales positions.

McKenna said: “As the pressures on our environment continue to grow, the benefits of sustainability are becoming better understood, both as a core value that guide effective strategies and operations for successful organisations, and at project level, as an integrated part of the design process.

“With that in mind, I am very much looking forward to leading the environment business at Mouchel, working with our clients across the full range of market sectors to develop and deliver tailored solutions that are truly sustainable and add value.”

David Virden, managing director of Mouchel Infrastructure Services, said: “Sustainability is central to what we do at Mouchel and I am delighted to welcome Janice in this key role. In addition to positioning our environment and maritime businesses for growth, her experience will also strengthen the leadership team across our infrastructure division.”

McKenna is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
