Mott MacDonald

Consultant Mott MacDonald has won a £90M contract to oversee improvements on the Polish rail network. Work will be carried out at 134 sites across the south and west of the country and see speed increases of up to 100kph. The project is due for completion in 2008.

Glasgow's Science Centre has tightened up maintenance procedures for its troubled rotating 'wing tower' to prevent a repeat of the bearing failure that closed the structure for more than two years. A Science Centre spokeswoman said the replacement bearing would be greased every month.
