Mott Macdonald completes Yorkshire storm water project

Mott MacDonald Bentley has completed the installation of a large storm water storage chamber that will reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Harrogate, for £700,000.

The chamber, located in the grounds of Harrogate District Hospital, has a capacity of more than 425,000l.

The project is part of Yorkshire Water’s planned £120M investment in upgrading its sewer network over the next five years.

The company will also be installing more pumping stations around the region to help speed up the sewage treatment process.
