Mott MacDonald appointed to £45M South Bristol Link

Bristol City and North Somerset Councils have appointed Mott MacDonald as design engineer for the £45M South Bristol Link transport project aimed at regenerating South Bristol and helping to reduce congestion in South Bristol and the adjacent areas of North Somerset.

The scheme involves extending links from the Long Ashton Park & Ride site to the new Community Hospital, Campus and Leisure Centre at Hengrove Park in South Bristol. Additionally, a new single carriageway road is planned between the A370, A38 and the existing A4174 at the Cater Road Roundabout. Cycling and pedestrian facilities that will run parallel to the rapid transit and highway elements will also be developed.

Mott MacDonald will be responsible for the scheme engineering and landscape design of the project.
