Mott MacDonald and Hoare Lea win double at ACE awards

Mott MacDonald and Hoare Lea took two awards each at the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Engineering Excellence Awards 2010 this week.

Mott MacDonald won first place in Building Structures (Large firm) for its Newcastle City Library work and Mott MacDonald Fulcrum won in Building Services (Large firm) for The Darwin Centre Phase 2.

Hoare Lea took first place in Infrastructure (Medium firm) for Cabot Circus, Bristol and in Building Services (Medium firm) for Warwick Digital Laboratory.

Mott was the most recognised firm overall, receiving a third nod from ACE when it was commended in the Infrastructure (Large firm) category for its Wing Water Supply Project.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel in London and was presented by broadcaster Declan Curry.
