Motorways drivers on hiding to nothing

Letters

Simon Done makes a valid point regarding the lack of service stations on our motorways ('Crash course of action' NCE last week) possibly contributing to drivers' tiredness. The French style 'Aires' would no doubt be extremely welcome to thousands of motorists.

Another point that may deter drivers from taking a muchneeded break at motorway services is that the potential cost of doing so terrifies them.

The outrageous prices charged at motorway services may make drivers think with their wallets and not with their heads.

Add the cost of a cooked breakfast to a tank of fuel and it is no wonder drivers just keep going.
