JCB recruits as global demand rises

JCB has launched a recruitment drive for up to 80 engineers at its sites in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Wales as the firm takes advantage of a return to growth in global markets.

JCB chief executive Alan Blake said: “This year has started very strongly and all the signs are that growth will continue throughout 2011.”

He added that the firm has to strengthen its team of engineers to meet this increased demand for machines and to develop new products.

The vacancies JCB is looking to fill include mechanical, electronic and electrical design engineers, engine design and development engineers, technicians, apprentices, undergraduates and graduates.
