JCB launches materials handler

JCB has unveiled its first materials handling machine specifically designed for the waste and recycling industry.
The 20t JS20MH is aimed at public and private waste management companies handling municipal solid waste in civic amenity sites, transfer stations and materials recycling facilities, as well as specialist recycling companies.

The machine uses the engine and hydraulics of the existing JS175W, but has a different undercarriage featuring a centralised slew turret for increased stability and uniform lift performance throughout the 360 degree rotation. It comes with the option of either a fixed or hydraulically raised cab for loading containers.

The JS20MH is powered by a 92 kW engine and has a 5.7m straight boom. It can be configured with a 4m gooseneck dipper for scrap applications or a shorter 3m straight dipper for waste applications.
