Past ICE President is made CBE at Windsor

Past ICE president and Crane Environmental chairman Jean Venables,was presented with a CBE by the Princess Royal last week at an investiture at Windsor Castle.

Past ICE president and Crane Environmental chairman Jean Venables,was presented with a CBE by the Princess Royal last week at an investiture at Windsor Castle.

Venables was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list, following her distinguished service as President of the ICE from 2008-9. It follows her MBE in 1997 for services to civil engineering and her OBE in 2004 for services to flood defence.

Venables was the first woman in the Institution’s 190-year history to be elected ICE President.
