Former ICE President Orr receives CBE

Past ICE President David Orr recently received his CBE from the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace last week for services to engineering.

Orr is currently a deputy permanent secretary in the Northern Ireland Executive and also chairs the independent procurement expert panel for Crossrail.

He was awarded the ICE Gold Medal in October 2009 in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of infrastructure in Northern Ireland and more recently led ICE’s recent State of the Nation report Infrastructure 2010.
