Morgan Sindall begins work on £9.1M sports facility contract

Contractor Morgan Sindall has begun work on a £9.1M contract to redevelop Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham.

The plans include a new six-court indoor tennis centre and a permanent grass show court together with new squash, gym and leisure facilities and refurbishment of the clubhouse, bar and restaurant.

Work started on site earlier this month and will take a total of 97 weeks to complete.

Edgbaston Priory Club’s project manager for the scheme is Arcadis and Birmingham-based architect Glenn Howells Architects designed the new club.
