Minister praises Environmental Industries Commission

Environment minister Richard Benyon has praised lobby group Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) for its role in shaping policy.

Speaking at the EIC’s spring ministerial reception, Benyon noted the increasing importance of the environmental industry and the work it does.

“The industry has an important role to play in holding government to account,” he said. “Improving the economy must go hand in hand with improving sustainability.”

The EIC became a subsidiary of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering late last year.
