Millbank development moves above ground

Completion of foundations work beside the River Thames in Millbank, London has cleared the way for main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine to start bringing Riverwalk House out of the ground.

Foundations contractor Bachy Soletanche installed the £2.3M hard-firm secant pile wall and contiguous pile wall after four months on site, which is next to Vauxhall Bridge.

Construction of the 17 storey and seven storey residential development with commercial units at street level is now underway at the site.
