MIDDLE EAST ACCORD

MIDDLE EAST ACCORD: German foundation equipment manufacturer and contractor Bauer recently celebrated twenty years' continuous presence in the Middle East. This photograph shows a retaining wall formed using a pile wall with rock anchors and shotcrete, for the construction of a cut and cover road tunnel in Beirut. Over this period Bauer has established a network of local companies with bases in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Cairo and Beirut, all of which receive technical and logistical support from Bauer's Bavarian base. This broad network and large available pool of resources, both in terms of manpower and machinery, allows Bauer to mobilise rapidly on projects of all sizes, its says, while its presence through 'good times and bad' demonstrates its commitment to the area.
