Merseyside awarded £90M in PFI credits


Merseyside has been awarded £90M in PFI credits to cut landll and increase composting and recycling. Merseyside wants to increase recycling from 18.5% to 45% by 2020, and cut landfill by more than 60% - equivalent to nearly 500,000M tonnes.

Four more areas - South Tyne & Wear, South London Partnership, Suffolk County Council and Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council, have been awarded PFI credits.
