May Gurney

May Gurney has finished the contiguous bored pile wall for one of the approaches to the rail underpass at Shortlands Junction in Bromley, Kent. Work is part of the junction remodelling that will prevent delays to Eurostar trains at the very busy freight and passenger rail junction (European FoundationsWinter 2001). The short tunnel will carry the Ravensbourne Chord lines under the Chatham lines and will be built by box jacking, which is due to start this month.
