Massive 86kg explosion takes down 104 year old Minneapolis bridge

The 104 year old Lowry Bridge over the Mississippi in Minneapolis was demolished on Sunday with 86kg of explosives

The bridge was closed in 2008 after being declared structurally unsafe

The river channel was cleared within 24 hours of the implosion. Construction on the new bridge is scheduled to start this Autumn.
