Manchester United signs deal with construction equipment manufacturer

English Premier League football club Manchester United has signed a “global partnership” deal with a Japanese engineering company that produces compact construction equipment and diesel engines for construction machinery.

The three year link-up is designed to benefit both partners. Manchester United said the link with Yanmar will help the club expand in the lucrative Japanese market, where it has an estimated 4M fans, while Yanmar said that Manchester United’s popularity will help the firm to promote its own global presence and activities throughout Asia and the rest of the world.
