Manchester deal signed

NEWS - IN BRIEF

Balfour Beatty has signed a £26M contract to design and build the Entrance Gateway at Central Park in Manchester.Balfour is in partnership with Bilfinger Berger, working for New East Manchester which is acting as client for Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority.

The contract involves construction of road and rail bridges, a Metrolink station and a 35m long jacked box tunnel under the Manchester Victoria railway.
