Managing director of building contractor pleads guilty


The managing director of a building contractor was sentenced to 16 months in prison this week on manslaughter charges after his employee Daryl Arnold fell through a warehouse roof and died. He was found to have received no training for working on roofs while no safe working system was in place. Managing director of Harper Building Contractors, Lee Harper, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and a breach of section two of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
