PRIMAVERA SYSTEMS has launched what is claimed to be the first project management tool designed specifically for the construction industry.

P3e/c for Construction allows users to mitigate project risk through schedule analysis, cost forecasting and streamlined coordination among designers, contractors and owners.

'By listening to our construction customers for nearly 20 years and learning their business, we are delivering a new and easy-to-use solution that satisfies the specific requirements for planning and scheduling, ' says chief executive Joel Koppelman.

'P3e/c simplifies schedule integration, enhances collaboration, and has the versatility to support teams managing single projects or complex programs.'

New features include project templates and standard reports.

An advanced analysis recognises possible delays by comparing current plans with previous versions. Immediate field status and project updates allow users to manage multiple projects through a web browser or palm pilot.
