Maldives one of the worst-affected countries

A post-tsunami recovery strategy in the Maldives will need at least $302M, the World Bank has said .

Housing, tourism, education, fishing and transport were badly hit by the disaster.

'The damage to the economy makes it one of the worst-affected countries, ' said World Bank country director Alastair McKechnie.
