How can a client produce a good environmental statement?
The document must be focused on the project in hand - no waffle or abstract theory!
It must be robust and transparent with clear statements on the likely effects of the scheme.
It must be well written and presented in its description of the project and its environmental implications.
Mitigation measures should be set out as commitments to be undertaken once work is under way.
The environmental statement should be accompanied by a well produced non-technical summary which is designed to explain the main environmental issues and mitigation measures to a variety
of interested parties.
