M4I opens doors to 'supporters'

CONSTRUCTION FIRMS not in the Movement for Innovation's demonstration project programme will be able to tap into the scheme under new funding proposals to be announced this month.

M4I, which is leading the drive for improved efficiency in construction, is expected to propose options for people and companies to join as 'supporters'.

The Department of the Environment Transport and the Regions said it would only match funds raised by M4I towards its £1.3M budget for next year. This means industry raising £650,000.

Various categories of supporters are expected to be announced in the next two weeks, but subscription levels have not been decided.
