The 1999 BCA Lubetkin Lecture will be given by the renowned Finnish architect Juha Leiviska on Wednesday 3 November at the Church House Conference Centre, London, 6.30pm for 7.30pm.
Juha Leiviska is a Carlsberg Prize winner. When awarding the prize in 1995 the judges observed that his work is 'at once durable at many levels and, above all richly articulated in terms of space, material, topography and light and is, at the same time, particularly sensitive to the social context in which it is situated'.
This is the eighth in this series of prestigious lectures - previous speakers have included Harry Seidler, Richard Meier, Tadao Ando and Jorg Schlaich.
Admission to the lecture is free, but by ticket only, these obtainable from Carmen Shead, at the BCA, tel: (01344) 725723 fax: (01344) 727204.
