Letters to the editor

Your article on cuts to the London United M4 Airbus Service from Heathrow will not come as any surprise to those who may have used the service from Terminal 4.

Instead of accessing the Great West Road (A30) or Junction 3 on the M4, the route proceeds from Terminal 4 all the way round the circuitous perimeter road back to Central Heathrow to pick up from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, at each stop taking on board passengers and their considerable luggage.

What is even more irritating is the fact that there is no simple collection circuit around central Heathrow provided for buses, and it is necessary to loop seemingly endlessly around the complex one-way system linking the airport terminals. The bus finally joined the M4 50 minutes after its departure from Terminal 4.
