London's Olympic venues bill passing through parliament

The bill that will officially create the team responsible for building London's Olympic venues is passing through parliament faster than expected, culture secretary Tessa Jowell said last week. The Olympics bill will create the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and allow it to be funded through a variety of sources including council tax and a National Lottery scratch card. It is expected to be approved by MPs next spring.
