London's congestion charging zone to be extended

News

London's congestion charging zone will be extended westwards in February 2007 to include Kensington and Chelsea, London mayor Ken Livingstone said last week.

This is despite only 41% of Londoners backing the decision. Livingstone predicts that extending the zone will cut traffic congestion by up to 14% in west London.
