London Underground appoint director of engineering


London Underground (LUL) has appointed David Waboso as director of engineering from April. LUL chief engineer Keith Beattie has been appointed to the new post of LUL director, Crossrail from next month.

Both men will report to LUL managing director Tim O'Toole. Waboso was project manager for the Docklands Light Railway moving block signalling and worked on systems integration on the Jubilee Line Extension. He is currently executive director, technical, at the Strategic Rail Authority. New LUL chief engineer is current train systems engineer Eddie Goddard.
