London mayor announces projects shortlisted for Planning Awards

Projects shortlisted this year for the London mayor’s planning awards include The Heron Tower, Westfield Stratford City shopping centre, mixed-use development One New Change, and Arsenal Football Stadium.

The National Maritime Museum’s Sammy Ofer Wing and the Home Office were also in the shortlist for this year’s London Planning Awards.

“Each year entries to the London Planning Awards are more impressive and more diverse,” said London mayor Boris Johnson. “The shortlisted projects represent a continued confidence in the economic future of the capital, and are fantastic examples of how investment, good planning and the right infrastructure can help improve the quality of life for Londoners.”

The London Planning Awards are organised by London First, the London mayor, the Royal Town Planning Institute and London Councils. Award winners will be announced in January.
