London boroughs team up for £128M highways work

London boroughs of Harrow and Brent have begun the tendering process for up to £128M of highways work this week.

The two North London boroughs are looking to form a purchasing alliance, with work divided between civil engineering, surfacing and electrical.

Three lots will be tendered, each lasting seven years, with the value of work commissioned through each subject to a number of factors.

The overall value of work could range from between £58M and £128M, with Harrow taking a lead in the tendering process.
