Lairig Eilde bridge

The nearest neighbour to the Lairig Eilde bridge project is cigar wielding, jewellery laden 1970s television personality Jimmy Saville, who has become something of a regular visitor to the site. Nuttall's site agent David Anderson says that on Saville's first visit to the project, he exclaimed, 'I though I'd got rid of you' - referring to the fact that he'd been plagued by the green and orange Nuttall hoarding signs near his permanent residence in Scarborough where the contractor is involved with coastal defence work.
