The European Investment Bank is lending $32M to the Jordan for the construction of the first 41km of the Amman ring road.

Hungary has also received an EIB $46M loan for rehabilitation, expansion and upgrading to European Union standards of wastewater treatment facilities in the Debrecen, Kecskemet and Szombathely regions.

EIB is lending $372M to Egyptian firm El Behera natural Gas Liquefaction Company for construction of a liquid natural gas plant at Idku, 40km east of Alexandria.

The same bank has loaned $12M to Guinea for development of its principal harbour at Conakry. Work involves construction of a new container quay and hard standing.
