Liverpool to get £45M exhibition hall

ACC (Arena and Convention Centre) Liverpool has said that work could be under way on a new £45M exhibition hall in the city by next August.

The firm said it would soon put detailed proposals and funding options to the council following the completion of a feasibility study for the Kings Dock plan.

The development, which includes three exhibition halls, will be linked to the Arena and Convention Centre. The halls will each be 2,700m².

Bob Prattey, chief executive of ACC, said the size of the development would allow bigger conferences and events to be staged at the venues, and open the doors to the stand-alone exhibition market.

He added that it would be operated in the same way as the Liverpool City Council owned-Arena and Convention Centre − where operations are run by ACC Liverpool.
