Liverpool agrees £15M student-housing plan

Liverpool-based EHA Developments and architects Falconer Chester Hall have been given the go ahead to build a £15M student accommodation project in the city.

Liverpool City Council has approved plans for the scheme at Chatham Place, in Edge Hill, on land that used to be occupied by a school, but which has been empty since the building was demolished.

The plans include space for a total of 354 bedrooms divided into groups of units, each sharing communal lounges and kitchens, car parking spaces, a bike park, and a 24-hour security office.

Construction work is expected to start in the autumn.
