Liebherr delivers concrete improvements

Liebherr has unveiled a new version of its truck-mounted 47 M5 XXT concrete pump, which it says offers a number of productivity improvements for concrete delivery operations.

One of the main areas of the truck that have been improved is the 47m long, five section multifold distributor boom with pipe bends designed to result in minimal pressure loss over the entire length of the boom.

When folded the boom does not overhang at the rear of the chassis, which Liebherr has said makes the truck more manoeuvrable, especially on restricted urban sites. The outriggers, which are mounted onto the boom pedestal, have a pivoting design to offer the maximum flexibility when setting up the truck on a restricted site.

The truck can be fitted with either a 140HL pump to deliver up to 140m³/h concrete or the 160HL pump that is capable of delivery rates of up to 160m³/h.
