LETTERS: Born to lead

I read with interest Janan Sulaiman's article (NCE 3 June) on MBAs, since I am currently contemplating pursuing one. While I support its overall message, I cannot support claims that 'civil engineers have never been outstanding leaders and will never be'. Recent examples may not readily spring to mind but great men such as Telford, Brunel, and Mackenzie were surely great leaders.
