In reading your article on Mexico's tallest tower, Torre Mayor in the September NCEI, I was disappointed that Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers was not mentioned. Our firm provided geotechnical and foundation design services for the tower, which as your article points out is a major consideration with its location over an old Aztec lake.

Our responsibilities include geotechnical and site monitoring recommendations, foundation design of the perimeter walls, design of the temporary bracing system, mat foundation and the caissons. During construction, MRCE provided quality assurance on the slurry wall and caisson work. MRCE also developed and evaluated caisson load tests using the Osterberg load cell, the first such tests of deep caissons in Mexico.
