Lawyers’ trek raises £8,900 for RedR

Law firm Beale & Company’s 43-strong “Buns of Steel” team last month completed the Lake District Six Peaks Challenge raising £8,900 for RedR, the charity revealed this week.

Beale & Company associate Ian Masser led the team of colleagues and friends on the 22.5km trek up some of the Lake District’s most challenging terrain on 22 September.

The trek took the team around 10 hours to complete.

“It was an exhausting and gruelling day, but I’m very proud of everyone for having completed the trek and we are delighted that our efforts will go towards helping RedR’s vital humanitarian work,” said Masser.

International disaster relief charity RedR trains aid workers and provides skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide.

“Without the initiative and commitment of supporters like Beale & Company, RedR would not be able to carry out our vital work training the aid workers who help people and communities hit by disaster,” said RedR chief executive Martin McCann.
