New Civil Engineer is hosting a webinar to help engineers overcome obstacles to full adoption of building information modelling (BIM).
According to a survey by Allplan and the ICE, nine out of 10 engineers now consider BIM relevant to their work. But less than 50% claim to have an adequate grasp on how to best use it to their advantage.
Lack of funding, issues with exchanging data and a general lack of expertise in the industry have all been identified as key barriers.
To understand why these challenges still exist and how to overcome them, New Civil Engineer will be hosting a webinar with guest speakers talking through their own experiences.
Pell Frischmann director of transport Sas Majlessi and Solid Structures founder Sean Daly will explain how embracing BIM has powered their businesses. Meanwhile Allplan international technical manager Ralph Pullinger will talk through the survey findings and be on hand to explain the software options available and offer tips on how to maximise the functionality on offer.
The webinar is free to join and will take place on Tuesday 19 March, at 11am. Click here for registration.
